Anyway, we opened the phone lines and got some fascinating responses including one lady who said she had had over 500 past lives.

A womans work is never done I guess!

My friend, the master hypnotist talks more about this, in the sense that he says (and I agree I think), that all the information we have ever experienced, is stored deep in our minds (in that sense we are experiencing the past). However, whether or not that info is from a past life, the jury is out for me.

That said, if it helps people heal, great, and for that matter it is not that different from Time Change Techniques , an NLP technique where you heal your past, and create a positive future.

All healing comes from within us surely, therefore we are healing our minds at core are we not?

And since all time is “now”, that would mean that past healing would occur in the “now”, therefore seen from that perspective “It is never too late to have a happy childhood!”

My only caveat here is that (and I am sure we all know someone like this), they become obsessed with it, and put so much focus on a “possible” past life. that they totally miss out on the one here in the present.

In NLP (and I am sure in past life therapies) I am sure that the idea is to give people more resources that they can use for their present. To help them in the now, not to get stuck in what maybe was. In other words only revisit the past to heal it, not to get stuck there.

Liking a good debate like the best of them, I started one in work today with some colleagues, one who is incredibly knowlegable about NLP without having done a course on it (the sod!)

As someone who has also heard about the law of attraction, and has heard “The Secret”, but still does not know quite what to make of it, but certainly can see correlations between the NLP teachings and Law of Attraction teachings, the observation and question I have is this….

OK, so lets say I want to reach forward and pick up a cup on my desk- the strategy of that experience would be along the lines of see it (visual) , memory recall (of when I successfully picked up a cup before), then actually doing it.

Fair enough, patronisingly easy of course, but , in NLP, EVERY experience has a structure, EVERY thing that anybody has ever done, thought, felt MUST have a structure to it, OR it could not be done.

So, then , all we would need to do, is decide what we want, find the structure of it, using the skills and tools we learned in NLP, and model that, whether we are picking up a cup, or creating a business empire a la Donald Trump.

My irritatingly knowledgable work colleague raised this well thought out objection “Yes, but how much TIME does it take to be Donald Trump” OK, it’s possible, sure, but most of us don’t have the time or money to devote that much time to becoming a worldwide business magnate.

(If he sold food cooling devices, would he be a fridge magnate     )

So, being a clever clogs that I am I asked “Would you need to have the real life experience to replicate Donald Trump, the real time, hard won experience forged in the experience of life, or would NLP skills “fast track” you.

I came up with a condensed version idea, in other words, read his autobiography and install those ideas.

Good question isn’t it, and it comes back to my original question, if something is not there in the first place, in other words, if the client has no strategy in place for picking up a cup or running a business empire, does that strategy (or at least a condensed one) need to be installed deliberately first, or does the NLP mojo do its magic?

At first blush, the answer would seem to be obvious, but law of atraction teachers teach us that we do not need to know exactly HOW.

AND that if something was not there before, it IS there now we have “asked”, or desired, even though it was not before. IF WE BELIEVE. So BELIEF, not any particular strategy is the “difference that made the difference”- and we do not NEED to know how. “The cursed hows” sthe brilliant metaphysical teacher Mike Dooley calls it.

Therefore, a good NLP practitioner, (or EFT)  bearing this in mind would ease his client to a state of allowing, using whatever tools they had at their disposal.

All we would have to do, then it would seem is desire it, and get in the Vortex, where the universe has already assembled all we need and desire. And allow it into our experience, by using tools (that can also be done with NLP) of belief bridging. And time, they would answer my friend is irrelevant, but alignment is everything.  Comes down to belief systems again I guess, thing is I see both sides, I quite agree with my pal, and yet wonder if there is a perspective in the Vortex that I don’t see. Yet.

This whole argument became even more poignant a couple of years ago,when my beloved Godfather had cancer. I was doing these processes on him, trying to get him “in the Vortex” Yes, he had chemo, an op, homeopathy and me doing Abe on him. He did die, bless his sweet sweet heart. Without any cancer in his body. Not a shred. My theory is that the chemo killed him, my theory on chemo is that it is rather like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, but I do not know a better way. I am damn keen to find one.

In Paul McKennas book “Change your life in seven days”, he talks about using NLP (the mind) for health, and talks about people who have recovered from deadly diseases, and “the difference that made the difference” seemed to be the BELIEF  that what treatment they were having would work for them, in other words they just DECIDED  that it would work, whether chemo or other methods. Deepak Chopra tells of the woman who “had no time to be sick”,and made a full recovery. And Robert Dilts, an early pioneer of NLP helped his mum heal of cancer by working with her beliefs. Seriously.

I think it is not helped, particularly in the West where we pride ourselves on logic, the idea of channeling.

These law of attraction teachings have come from a couple in the USA, the husband Jerry Hicks does the asking, the wife Esther the “allowing” of the answers, from a group of beings in the non physical called “Abraham”. Whatever we think about that, I can see that the answers WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE HAD HE NOT ASKED. That is obvious to me. “Ask and it is given” Also, the message that I have studies has been 100% consistant every time I have heard it. So, at a leap, I would say she is “channeling”, and that I do believe it. I think.  There’s also another guy in Wyoming who channels his spirit guides another group of teachers known as Chief Joseph, similar message. And if I remember , there was an article recently on that website about timeshifting, in other words, deliberately stretching time!   And I do seem to remember there is a timeshifting technique in NLP. So, I will e-mail him with a copy of this article, and put a copy on a forum where people practise the Abraham teachings. And pose the question. I will also ask my NLP teacher.

So, in a rather convoluted way, and probably with a few uneasy cross pollination of disciplines, my “hibrid” (or leading edge depending on how you look at it) question is…

Is it possible, to create a strategy or mindset, where knowledge is fast tracked or “allowed” ,  and where time is stretched where necessary.

That would solve most peoples time problems surely.

If there is someone reading who achieves:

1. Speed learning and fast absorption of information and skills

2. ALWAYS has enough time to achieve what they want to.

3. Just KNOWS that the money they need for whatever they want is there

4. Or for that matter has healed from a deadly disease just by deciding it would be so….

… then I would be delighted to interview you if I may. Privacy respected of course.
